NEW YORK DOESN’T LET YOU WASTE A TRIP

New York has too much going on to spend the entire vacation admiring your hotel room. The restaurants, rooftops, Broadway shows, museums, shopping, neighborhoods, sports, nightlife, street food, parks and random things you stumble into between plans are the reason you came. For Black travelers, New York offers something even bigger. Black culture here is not concentrated into one neighborhood or one version of the Black experience. Harlem carries generations of history, music and culture. Brooklyn has its own unmistakable energy. The Bronx gave the world hip-hop. Caribbean communities, African communities and Black Americans from across the country have all left fingerprints on the city. There are a lot of ways to be Black in New York.

But choosing a hotel here can get complicated fast. Manhattan convenience comes with Manhattan prices. Times Square puts you in the middle of everything tourists think New York is, which can be either perfect or your personal nightmare. Downtown feels different from Midtown. Brooklyn can give you incredible restaurants, nightlife and views while completely changing how you experience the city. And sometimes the room is going to be smaller than you expected because, well, welcome to New York.
