Nobu Hotels Review

YES, THAT NOBU. NOW YOU CAN SLEEP THERE TOO.

Nobu took one of the most recognizable restaurant names in luxury dining and decided apparently dinner wasn't enough. Now there's a hotel upstairs. And honestly, the concept makes sense. Nobu Hotels brings together Japanese-inspired design, serious food, nightlife-adjacent locations and the kind of crowd that probably already had a reservation somewhere.

The brand comes from Nobu Hospitality, built around chef Nobu Matsuhisa alongside Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, and that celebrity DNA is absolutely part of the appeal. You'll find Nobu in places like Miami Beach, Las Vegas, Los Cabos, Ibiza, London, Barcelona and other destinations where looking good at dinner is damn near an activity.

For BlkTravel, Nobu fits when the hotel itself needs to match the trip. Birthday. Couples getaway. Miami. Vegas. Somewhere international where we're packing outfits instead of clothes. But let's not get hypnotized by the name. Nobu can be expensive as hell, and the hotel experience isn't automatically extraordinary just because black cod miso is somewhere in the building. Property quality, amenities and location still have to justify that bill.

Nobu is sexy. We aren't going to pretend it isn't.

The restaurants have cultural cachet, the hotels usually look damn good, and the brand knows exactly the customer it's chasing. If we're doing Miami, Vegas, Ibiza or Los Cabos and the price isn't completely disrespectful, we're looking.

But we're also not paying an extra $300 a night just to tell people we stayed at Nobu.

Give us the restaurant. Give us the vibe. Give us the beautiful room. Then make the damn rate make sense.
