Autograph Collection works because no two properties feel the same. Instead of a standard brand experience, each hotel is built around its own identity, design, and location. That makes it one of the more interesting portfolios under Marriott, but also one of the least consistent. When it hits, it hits. This brand fits best for Black travelers who want something different from the typical chain hotel and are willing to choose properties individually based on the experience.

@trice_tried_it If Belize is on your vision board, start here. 🌴✨ Different room types depending on your vibe, a rooftop infinity pool that eats every time, and an all-inclusive option you can add on (worth it if you plan to really enjoy the resort). They do have golf carts available for rent, but you can find cheaper ones in town — it really just depends on how much convenience you want. Spending my birthday at the Grand Bohemian Autograph Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina was everything I dreamed of for my very first birthday staycation and more. From the moment I arrived, the energy, the beauty of the building, and the kindness of the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The King Suite exceeded my expectations in every way. The space, the comfort, the details it was peaceful, grounding, and exactly what I needed. Those three nights of solitude gave me time to rest, reflect, and simply be present with myself without distractions. I’m grateful for the experience, for being able to gift this to myself, and for the reminder that honoring yourself is just as important as celebrating with others. This stay meant more to me than words can explain. I already know I’ll be back next month and I’m looking forward to experiencing it all over again with the same gratitude.
