HYATT HOTELS

Hyatt isn't everywhere. But when Hyatt is somewhere, we pay attention. That's probably the easiest way to explain why Hyatt Hotels ranks #5 among BlkTravel's Top Global Hotel Groups. Hyatt Hotels Corporation now includes more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive properties across 83 countries and six continents. But sheer size isn't what makes Hyatt interesting. Look underneath the Hyatt umbrella. Park Hyatt. Grand Hyatt. Hyatt Regency. Alila. Andaz. Thompson Hotels. The Standard. Secrets. Breathless. Zoëtry. Dreams. Hyatt Ziva. Hyatt Zilara. These aren't twelve different versions of the same hotel. They're twelve completely different vacations. And that's where Hyatt starts getting very interesting for BlkTravel.

Hyatt used to be easy to understand. You saw the Hyatt name and had a pretty good idea what kind of hotel you were getting. Not anymore. Today, Hyatt can mean walking into the quiet luxury of a Park Hyatt. It can mean staying at a Thompson because we actually want to hang out at our hotel. It can mean booking Andaz because we want design, restaurants and some connection to the neighborhood. It can mean checking into a Grand Hyatt because 400 people came to town for the same event. And now it can mean flying to the Caribbean, putting on a wristband and disappearing into a Secrets, Breathless, Zoëtry, Dreams, Hyatt Ziva or Hyatt Zilara resort. Hyatt officially organizes its current brands across Luxury, Lifestyle, Inclusive Collection, Classics and Essentials portfolios. BlkTravel looks at them differently. We're asking: Which Hyatt makes sense for this trip?

Don’t just book Hyatt, book the right Hyatt. That's what this guide is for. The Hyatt name alone doesn't tell us enough anymore. A couples trip to Mexico and a convention in Atlanta don't need the same hotel. Neither does a birthday in New York, honeymoon in the Maldives, family trip to Jamaica or grown weekend in Miami. So rather than throwing dozens of Hyatt brands onto one page, we've divided the Hyatt ecosystem into the experiences that actually matter when we're planning a trip.
