Six Senses Review
WHEN THE ISLAND IS THE LUXURY
Six Senses Zil Pasyon doesn't need a nightclub, a massive pool party or a packed resort schedule to make the trip memorable. It has Félicité Island.
This is the kind of hotel you book when disappearing for a few days sounds better than being in the middle of everything. Six Senses is the only resort on Félicité Island, occupying less than a third of it, with dramatic granite boulders, tropical vegetation, beaches and the Indian Ocean doing most of the decorating. Its secluded villas come with private infinity pools, while the resort leans heavily into wellness, nature and sustainability.
For BlkTravel, that's what makes it special. Zil Pasyon doesn't feel like somebody built a luxury resort in paradise. It feels like they figured out how to fit a luxury resort into paradise without ruining it.
And that's enough to put it at #7 on our Top 20 Hotels.

Breathtaking
Six Senses Zil Pasyon is what happens when the hotel knows the destination is already the flex. Private villas, ridiculous scenery and enough seclusion to make the rest of the world feel very far away.
For Black travelers looking for the opposite of the crowded-resort experience, this is luxury without the performance.
WE DON'T ALWAYS NEED THE PARTY. SOMETIMES WE NEED THE ISLAND.
This is honeymoon, anniversary and don't-call-us-unless-it's-important territory.
BLACK LUXURY CAN BE PEACE AND QUIET TOO.
