Rock House Turks & Caicos Review

Rock House looks like somebody picked up a Mediterranean resort and dropped it into Turks & Caicos. And somehow it works. You get the turquoise Caribbean water, but instead of another flat beachfront resort, you're walking through stone pathways above the ocean, looking down from the cliffs and watching the horizon disappear behind an infinity pool.

It's ridiculously photogenic, but we wouldn't rank a hotel #3 just because Instagram likes it. The appeal is that the design actually changes the experience. Rock House feels intimate, romantic and removed from the busier resort corridor. And when we looked at who's actually staying here, we found plenty of Black travelers already enjoying exactly that experience.

This is the property for the traveler who has done the traditional Caribbean resort and wants the next trip to feel completely different.

Rock House jumps toward the top of our ranking because it offers an experience fundamentally different from the traditional Grace Bay resort.

Built into the limestone cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, the property combines Mediterranean-inspired architecture with private residences, dramatic ocean views, an infinity pool and a secluded stretch of beach below. The result feels more Greek island than conventional Caribbean resort.

It also has something increasingly important to BlkTravel: cultural visibility. Black travelers and creators are showing up here, and the property's distinctive design means their content immediately stands apart from another generic beach-resort post.
