Studio W.I.P. Atlanta
Studio W.I.P. - Atlanta turns Atlanta art into something you actually participate in, using instructor-led spray-paint and stencil workshops to help beginners create street-art-inspired pieces they can take home. We've looked at the art. We've appreciated the art. Now pick up the spray can. Studio W.I.P. is exactly why we called this section Arts & Culture Experiences instead of making another list of Atlanta art galleries.
You don't need to know how to paint. You don't need to know anything about street-art technique. And you definitely don't need to walk in calling yourself an artist. The instructors walk guests through spray-paint techniques, stencils, layering and creating their own finished piece. The studio also offers social experiences such as spray-paint-and-sip and glow/black-light sessions. Studio W.I.P. - Atlanta
That's what makes this one fun. The art isn't finished until you make it. Its Lee+White location also gives travelers plenty of opportunity to continue exploring the West End and Atlanta BeltLine before or after their session. And when the trip is over, you aren't bringing home another ATL refrigerator magnet. You made your souvenir.
