Atlanta BeltLine Review
The Atlanta BeltLine turns old railroad corridors into trails connecting parks, neighborhoods, public art, restaurants and some of the city's most active social districts, making the journey itself one of Atlanta's best things to do. The BeltLine isn't really one attraction. That's the point.
You can start walking with no particular plan and suddenly you're looking at public art, stopping for food, getting a drink, walking through a park or deciding you've gone far enough and need somebody to come pick you up. That's a good Atlanta afternoon. The BeltLine also gives visitors something we really value at BlkTravel: a way to experience neighborhoods instead of only attractions.
Different sections show you different Atlantas. And as the network continues expanding, that's becoming even more true. We wouldn't tell a visitor simply to “go to the BeltLine” without context. The better recommendation is deciding which part of Atlanta you want to experience through it and building the day from there.
BlkTravel would choose the BeltLine for: walking, biking, public art, food stops, bar hopping, dates, neighborhood exploration and travelers who like discovering things without a rigid itinerary.

The BeltLine earns #2 because few outdoor experiences help you discover Atlanta while you're actually doing them.
Piedmont is the better singular park experience.
The BeltLine is the better exploration experience.
And unlike a traditional trail where the objective is simply getting from Point A to Point B, the distractions here are part of the attraction.
