World Changers Church International is one of the institutions that helped define Atlanta's modern Black megachurch era, growing from eight people at its first service into a global ministry centered around the 8,500-seat World Dome. If Ebenezer represents one chapter of the Black church in Atlanta, World Changers represents another. This is the megachurch Atlanta.

World Changers traces its roots to College Park, where Creflo Dollar founded the ministry in 1981. Its first service in 1986 had just eight attendees inside the cafeteria of Kathleen Mitchell Elementary School. By 1995, the congregation had moved into the 8,500-seat World Dome. That growth tells an important part of Atlanta's religious story.

The city didn't stop producing nationally influential Black religious institutions after the Civil Rights era. Churches like World Changers became part of a newer generation of Black Christian broadcasting, megachurch culture and global ministry. Today, Creflo and Taffi Dollar are identified by World Changers as its senior pastors, with the ministry emphasizing practical biblical teaching and the Gospel of Grace.
